Georgetown, known as the “Red Poppy” Capital of Texas, boasts beautiful red poppy wildflowers encompassing the entire city and has the “Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas.” Each April, Georgetown hosts the Red Poppy Festival in the historic town square attracting thousands of visitors each year. Full of rich Texas historical culture, this community has many historic attractions and museums as well. If you’re an art fan, check out the various art galleries and murals throughout Georgetown. Take an exciting night out on the town with numerous bars and breweries to choose from. Relax and get a hole-in-one at one of the several picturesque golf courses Georgetown has to offer. Home to Southwestern University and National American University, this area has an abundance of great schools with plenty of kid-friendly attractions and parks. Even if you don’t end up residing in Georgetown, it’s definitely worth visiting!
